Week 11: Status Report #3

It is week 11! This week we officially wrap up Campaign #1 as you prepare to present your partner team Campaign #1 assessments as part of Status Report #3. A few reminders:

  • Peer eval #2 info is posted – please submit by Mon, Mar 25 at midnight
  • Teams will present Status Report #3 in-class on Mar 27 and 29. There are two related tasks:
    • Complete the the campaign assessment template to evaluate your partner team’s campaign #1 materials and metrics outcomes (most teams completed this task in class on Friday)
    • Prepare and deliver your Status Report #3 presentation using the outline provided

On Monday teams will focus on presentation preparation and on Wednesday and Friday teams will present in the following order:

Week 10: Campaign #1 Wrap-Ups

Welcome back from Spring Break! This week we will wrap up Campaign #1, take a look at metrics, and get ready for Status Report #3. The course schedule has been updated to reflect a few shifts in due dates. We’ll go over the plan for the final six weeks of class this week. Hope you are rested and ready to dig back in! Week 9: Campaign #1 implementation!

Welcome to week 9 in COMSTRAT 310! Activities continue with Campaign #1 implementation this week. Here is what is on the docket:

Mon, Mar 4: All teams will get organized with Campaign #1 setup including the creation of an events page in Weebly and new Google Ads

Wed, Mar 6: Teams will create an email in Constant Contact and new posts for Facebook and Instagram.

Fri, Mar 8: This will be a team work day to wrap up the creation and launch of all campaign #1 materials. 

The final due date for the first campaign is TBA but it will be after spring break. Google Ads may be paused next week and re-started March 18 – Chris and Rebecca will monitor ad progress and make the call so we are sure to preserve our budget $$.

We’ll introduce details for peer eval #2 after spring break so stay tuned.

Week 8: Launch of Lesson 5

It is Week 8 in COMSTRAT 310. This week we will wrap up Lesson 4 and Part 3 of the semester-long project (Campaign #1 strategy), as well as formally launch Lesson 5: Digital Campaigns Part 1.

Your to do’s this week:

  1. Wrap up Part 3 of the semester-long project
    • Part 3A – Campaign Strategy & Core Messaging
    • Part 3B – Test Campaign
    • Part 3C – Test Campaign Results
  2. Finish your reading and end of chapter quiz for Ch 6: Integrated Digital Campaigns: Planning, Execution, and Metrics
  3. Prepare for Status Report #2 – teams will deliver in class on Wed, Feb 27

We will also introduce Part 4: Campaign #1 implementation this week.

Note: Class will not be held on Fri, Mar 1. Rebecca and Chris will be in Seattle for ASWSU Global Rendezvous 2019.
